Transportation

By air:

  • The closest airport, in Deer Lake, is 56km from Corner Brook.
  • Air Canada operates regular passenger service from Deer lake four times daily to and from Halifax; once daily direct to and from Toronto; and twice daily to and from St. John’s and a daily summer service direct to and from Montreal. 
  • WestJet operates a summer service direct to and from Toronto.
  • Car rental is available, but please book well in advance.
  • We plan to have a shuttle service for the conference delegates on June 9 and 10.

By water:

  • Marine Atlantic operates on daily basis and provides a ferry service: North Sydney (Nova Scotia) - Port aux Basques (Western Newfoundland). There is about 175 km drive from Port aux Basques to Corner Brook.
